Locality

Kihaadhoo is located in Baa Atoll (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) and is famous for its traditional vocational skills, especially for coconut leaf craft. According to historical accounts, TVEC is built around the same area where a person named “Kihaadhoo Dhombe” had his institute (in the late 1940s) at his home where he accommodated and provided free education for children from across the country.

The small population of Kihaadhoo and TVEC enjoys a close relationship that contributes very positively for both TVEC and the island community.
