Coastline Foundation was established in 2013 to provide & help the much-needed sectors of Maldives through CSR of Coastline Group of Companies. It has since then aided in medical, infrastructure, and educational development.

In December 2016, the Foundation embarked on its most ambitious project, establishing a technical and vocational training institute in Baa Atoll Kihaadhoo under the name of Technical and Vocational Education Center (TVEC). TVEC was officially inaugurated on 8 August 2018.

The aim of establishing the center was to increase the chances of the Maldivian Youth acquiring competent and skilled technicians with strong ethical and moral values and commitment to excel in their chosen field.

TVEC is a one-of-a-kind institution where participants learn through practical experience, teamwork, community activities, and living together. The aim of establishing TVEC is to provide efficient, effective, employable, and skilled technical people to the industries of the country.
